Point Reyes and the Bay Area.
In my time here, I’ve had the privilege of wandering almost all of the California coast. Among an undeniably crowded field, this is still my favorite stretch of it. I’ve always marveled at this particular view, the way this meandering strip of land bisects the scene. Separating peril from safe haven. The incoming storm from the waiting calm.
Maybe you’ll stay a while, maybe at the house in the trees, wander these rugged coastal cliffs and rolling hillsides. Because it’s difficult to find better wandering than here, drifting between two worlds, soaking in the twilight view from the bluffs near Chimney Rock, Point Reyes National Seashore.
Monterey, Big Sur, and the Central Coast.
